Tricia McEntee

Tricia McEntee, CPA, CEO, CFO specializes in professional finance and conscious leadership. She is a creative and innovative leader, working to transform visions into reality through sound strategic planning, wholehearted collaboration, and diligent approaches to achieving results. Tricia engages people and her work with an agile mindset and an aspiration for servant leadership, while remaining grounded by a high level of financial acumen. Her professional life is dedicated to conscious leadership, building mission driven organizations and guiding impactful programs and initiatives that inspire positive change in the world.

Currently, Tricia serves as Director of Finance and Operations for Challenge Success, where she is responsible for overseeing finance, human resources, and internal operations. Previously, Tricia served as CEO and CFO of the Esalen Institute, a world-renowned retreat center for the exploration and realization of human potential, with a mission to create a more just, creative, and sustainable world. At Esalen, Tricia worked with diverse groups to lead a culture change, which included fiscal responsibility, guest-orientated service, sustainable business practices, and diverse stakeholder alignment. Tricia increased professional competency and capacity throughout the organization and achieved the highest level of financial security in Esalen’s history. Ultimately, she positioned the organization to be able to consciously and creatively shape its future.

Before Esalen, Tricia held roles as controller and chief financial officer in both for profit and non- profit organizations. In addition to her hands-on leadership in finance, accounting, information technology, and human resources, Tricia worked together with ownership and boards of trustees to develop and implement business strategies, create inclusive and diverse work environments, and guide organizations in their evolution to the next level. Tricia began her career in public accounting as an auditor at Ernst and Young and has a BA in accounting from Weber State University.
