Allison DeHart
Allison is an interspiritual contemplative, a certified enneagram teacher through The Narrative Enneagram, a Circle of Trust facilitator with the Center for Courage and Renewal and a Charis Circle facilitator with the Charis Foundation. She is a retreat leader and supports others on their spiritual journeys.
Allison grew up in a small non-denominational Christian community in Ohio and in her mid-20s encountered the Quaker tradition through the writings of Parker J. Palmer. This encounter became her first invitation to seek and trust the light within. Over time her love of the Divine led her from Sufi circles and Hindu kirtans to Fourth Way practice groups and teachers of many sacred traditions. One continuous thread has been her devotion to the recovery of the Sacred Feminine and in particular the path of Mary Magdalene.
Her educational pursuits have been eclectic. She has an undergraduate degree in Business from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. While studying at Miami she minored in English Literature, completing most of the requirements abroad at Selwyn College, Cambridge University in Cambridge, England. She has a MSEd in Human Services from the University of Dayton and an MA in Contemplative Religion from Naropa University, where she met and studied Contemplative Islam with Netanel Miles-Yepez. While studying at Naropa, Netanel invited her to serve as a student observer at a Charis Snowmass Dialogue held at St. Benedict’s Monastery. This was her first connection with Charis.
While at Naropa she also began studying with Zvi Ish-Shalom and currently supports the community exploring his teachings as presented in The Kedumah Experience and the Path of Primordial Light.
Allison has served three non-profit organizations as Executive Director – Partners in Hope, Troy Community Works and The Narrative Enneagram and taught World Religion at Edison State Community College.
She is honored to serve as a board member for the Charis Foundation and to be a part of creating a home for others who are walking an interspiritual path.
